CAS dean to step down in March

Published December 21, 2009

Terry Brown, the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, has accepted the position of Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at UW-Parkside. She will make the transition in mid-March, although an exact date has not been set.

Brown has cherished her time at UW-River Falls, she said in an e-mail statement sent out to faculty on Dec. 21.

“It has been a privilege to serve as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, which daily confirms through the commitment of its faculty and staff that it is the intellectual and creative heart of this University,” Brown said. “I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity that I have had to work with such wonderful people since I began my work here as an assistant professor of English.”

Brown will continue her duties as the dean of CAS up until her departure in March.
